This 22" high umbrella stand is often used in the entry of the home to store umbrellas. They can also be used as a flower vase and can be used indoors or outdoors. These containers are painted with a floral border and painted panels with peacocks in a natural floral setting. This porcelain is imported from China but this style of design is of Japanese origins. Satsuma is gilded and depicts natural environs or palace scenes and most popular in the 19th century. Deep rich colors adorn this water tight vessel that can be used on the floor or on a table top. We suggest a wooden stand to enhance its beauty. To prevent it from tipping over (when it’s over filled and top heavy) we suggest filling it with a weight bearing objects such as stones.
