How to get the looks from the HGTV Dream Home 2020

The HGTV Dream Home 2020 has been announced, and if youre not entering every single day to win it, then youre doing something wrong. This year, the dream home is nestled in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, which is the perfect locale for summering. You know, if you do that sort of thing.

With bold, coastal inspiration, breathtaking views, and plenty of places to lounge around, this home is absolutely stunning. Did I mention theres a pool? Even more of a reason to keep entering and try your luck.

But since the chances of winning this second home are very slim, Im focusing more on how I can achieve a similar look in my modest space. While many of this decor might look like it came straight from Pottery Barn or Serena and Lily, most of the furniture from the HGTV Dream Home 2020 is actually much more affordable. You can find it all at (drum roll, please!) Wayfair. Yes, you heard me right.

Not only does it mean that all the furniture and home decor youve been dreaming of is much more inexpensive than it looks, but you can get it all shipped right to your doorstep. If you cant have this Dream Home, you might as well make your home look like one. While we havent tested or purchased this furniture ourselves, if HGTV recommends them, I believe they have to be good.

Here are all our favorite rooms from the HGTV Dream Home 2020 and what to buy to get the look yourself.

A bright, welcoming entryway

Welcome to your dream home.

This entryway sets the scene for the 2020 Dream Home. Its bright and open, and with an umbrella stand and some bar stools, it says take off your shoes and stay awhile. My favorite touch is the sand-filled candle jars, which is an easy piece of coastal decor to replicate in your own space.

A sweet spot for sitting

Sitting Area

Just imagine lounging here after a long day in the sun.

The splash of teal in this casual seating area is enticing enough to sit and chat, and the wicker armchairs bring a complete island vibe to the space. Plus, theres a fake plant that you wont have to worry about caring for when youre gone during the cooler months.

The best spot for brunch

Breakfast with a view? Yes please.

Who doesnt love breakfast and a view? With decor like this, people will be racing down to eat eggs and toast while watching the sunrise. I particularly love the beachy accents brought in by the rope mirrors and rope hourglass chandelier. These are easy coastal touches that any home can benefit frombeach or not.

A completely coastal kitchen

The contrasting costal colors of this kitchen is to die for.

Im obsessed with the contrast of the deep navy accent walls and the tan cabinetry of this kitchen. The island is the perfect spot to eat a quick lunch before running back to the beach and gives extra prep space for when feeding a crowd. While you can't buy the appliances at Wayfair, you can get the same lighting and barstools as well as a few accessories.

A laundry room youll want to hang out in

This laundry room doubles as a mudroom.

Who said laundry rooms arent for hanging out in, especially one that looks as good as this? With teal green walls and gorgeous mosaic tiles, folding laundry wont be that bad. You can easily jazz up your own laundry space with similar fun patterns or by adding a bamboo mirror to make it feel bigger.

A gorgeous guest room fit for an island

A room fit for George of the Jungle.

This guest room gives off George of the Jungle vibesand not in a bad way. The headboard decked out in palm leaves, windmill ceiling fan, and sisal rug all make you feel like youre on an island (which Hilton Head is!), making it an ideal place to spend the night. Add in a few actual palm trees and youre golden.

A cozy place to chill

The perfect spot to watch next year's HGTV Dream Home.

When you need to sit down and relax from the hustle and bustle of summertime, this is the spot to do so. The neutral seating creates a soft look thats ideal for winding down after a day in the sun. Plus, this is an ideal spot to recreate to watch the next HGTV Dream Home special.

A cool blue guest bedroom

This cool blue room is oh-so-dreamy.

I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa But in all honesty, this cool, blue bedroom is absolutely stunning. In fact, we sleep better in blue rooms anyway, so you might as well take a few pointers from this space. Simple accents like funky lamps and fun textured throw pillows on wicker lounge chairs make the look unique.

The ultimate space for activities

A great space for a round of foosball, checkers, and more.

This is the perfect place for activities. Whether its a rowdy game of foosball or an intense round of Codenames, this is the space youll want to play. Mimic the room yourself by incorporating bright metal chairs and plenty of games to choose from in your home.

A coastal coral master bedroom

This room is fit for royalty.

Ah, the master. Its cozy and coral aesthetic is exactly where I want to benot to mention the incredible views it has. The various orange hues really pop in the space, and you can create a similar look by simply switching out your quilt and adding a few more colorful accent pieces.

A perfect poolside patio

Floating lights and a fire pit makes this pool space extra dreamy.

With a gorgeous pool and a plethora of seating, this backyard is the ultimate entertaining space. I can picture a bonfire at night complete with those glowing orbs on the water. The blue carries in from the accessories found in the home, creating a cohesive look all around.

Outdoor dining with a view

The blue accents continue into the outdoor dining room.

When its warm enough (and not muggy or humid), its always nice to enjoy a meal outside, especially when theres a screened in porch and good views involved. While you cant transport yourself to Hilton Head, you can incorporate some of this look to your own dining space like blue hues and wooden bowls to display the fruits of your labor.

A textured outdoor lounge

The ideal spot to watch the sunset.

You can never have too many outdoor lounge spacesat least you cant in the dream home. This one takes a more textured approach with various patterned throw pillows and an eccentric coffee table.

A welcoming front door

No entrance is complete without rocking chairs.

No HGTV Dream Home is complete without rocking chairs lining the entrance. Slap on a cute doormat and some exotic plants, and youll have your own front door fit for a dream house.
