When you see the Designed for Xbox label on gaming accessories at the store, you know that the product you are buying meets Xbox standards and is 100% compatible. Up until now, products under this label only included controllers, headsets and storage. However, starting later this summer, gaming monitors that take advantage of the advanced visual capabilities of the Xbox Series X|S are being added.

Philips, ASUS and Acer have worked closely with the team at Microsoft over the last 2 years to develop monitors that support 4K 120Hz, HDR, Variable Refresh Rate and come equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports—everything that makes Xbox Series X|S games look incredible.

You’ll easily be able to identify these products on store shelves by looking for the “Gaming Features for Xbox” badge on the box. Let’s take a look at the first 3 monitors announced earlier this week by Xbox for the Designed for Xbox label.

Philips Momentum 559M1RYV

Available later this summer, the Philips Momentum 559M1RYV 55 inch monitor is for the gamer looking for a premium Xbox Series X|S experience. This high fidelity monitor comes with a built in soundbar and was developed alongside Xbox engineers to guarantee the absolute best experience. It’s equipped with high quality sound and Ambiglow lighting.

Additionally, the Philips Momentum 559M1RYV supports 4K resolution at 120Hz with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology and a dedicated Xbox picture mode. Furthermore, it features HDR with the VESA Certified DisplayHDR 1000. This means, it has local-dimming and peak luminance for an absolutely stunning picture.

ASUS Strix Xbox Edition Gaming Monitor XG43UQ

The ASUS Republic of Gamers line is well known for high quality products. And, the new ASUS ROG Strix Xbox Edition gaming monitor doesn’t disappoint. The monitor features a 43 inch display with 4K UHD visuals and has an Xbox mode for best colour, contrast and hue settings when hooked up to an Xbox Series X|S.

Moreover, it comes equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology for silky smooth 4K at 120Hz gaming. Additionally, this monitor has a super fast 1ms moving picture response time and DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The ASUS ROG Strix Xbox Edition gaming monitor will be available this fall, October 2021.

Acer Xbox Edition Gaming Monitor XV282K KV

The Acer Xbox Edition gaming monitor will be available later this fall and come with a 28″ screen that supports 4K at 120Hz. As with the other monitors, this monitor has a 1ms response time, comes with AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA DisplayHDR 400.

One of the features that sets this monitor apart is that it is among the first to be TUV/Eyesafe certified. This reduces eye strain, allowing for longer gaming sessions. And, the Acer Xbox Edition gaming monitor comes with a built-in KVM switch. This allows you to switch between multiple input sources very easily.
