2/26 – 3/26 ACADEMY AWARD NOMINATED SHORT FILMS – DETROIT INSTITUTE OF ARTS
The Detroit Institute of Arts is bringing the 2022 Academy Award® Nominated Short Films to the area. You can catch animation short films and live action short films through the month of March. Advanced ticketing is recommended. Tickets at dia.org.
3/03 – 3/05 COMEDIAN JOSH BLUE
Josh Blue is a comedian with cerebral palsy and is known for his self-deprecating act around his disability. Blue was the last comic standing on the NBC reality show Last Comic Standing in 2006. He’s performing with Cameron Rowe and Kate Brindle at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak. Tickets available here.
3/04 – 3/05 CORKTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL – CORKTOWN
Catch more than 70 musical acts performing at four venues in Detroit’s historic Corktown. Proceeds for the festival benefit 4 Paws 1 Heart, a non-profit with a mission to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs. 3/4 – 3/6 AUTORAMA DETROIT – COBO/TCF CENTER
This event is for classic car lovers. The 69th Detroit Autorama runs Friday March 4 through Sunday march 6 at the Cobo/TCF Center. Live music and auctions happen throughout the weekend. The Miss Autorama Pinup Girl Contest is March 5. Tickets available at the gate. autorama.com
3/4 – 3/6 Trolls Live! at Fox Theatre

3/4 – 3/20 The Donna Summer Musical at Fisher Theatre

3/04 – 3/06 MICHIGAN GOLF SHOW – SUBURBAN COLLECTION SHOWCASE
The Michigan Golf Show returns to the Suburban Collection Showcase in Novi March 4-6. Organizers say it kicks off the golf season and highlights hundred of exhibitors for every aspect of the game. Tickets are available at michigangolfshow.ticketspice.com
3/5 – 3/27 LEARN ALL ABOUT MAPLE SYRUP – KENSINGTON METRO PARK

Take a guided walk through the farm’s Sugar Bush. Learn how to pick the right maple tree, then watch how maple trees are tapped and sap is collected. Then visit the Sugar Shack to see and smell the sap being boiled down into maple sugar. Tours begin every half hour, last approximately one hour. More information and registration here.
3/05 SKATING WITH THE STARS – CAMPUS MARTIUS PARK
Take a trip to downtown Detroit for the ‘Skating with the Stars’ event at Campus Martius Park, benefitting Figure Skating in Detroit. Skating with the Stars is an annual fundraising event to support and champion Detroit’s generation of girls in academics, leadership & figure skating. 3/6 DRAG BRUNCH WITH MOTOR CITY DRAG KINGS – GIGI’S DETROIT
Enjoy brunch and some laughs at Gigi’s in Detroit, presented by the Motor City Drag Kings. Entertainment will follow radio and PG guidelines so this event really is family friendly. Each ticket includes a mimosa (21+) or Pop or Juice , boxed brunch and entertainment. Doors open at 12 p.m. and show begins at 1 p.m. Tickets available here.
3/9 DAVID PHINNEY FIVE-COURSE WINE DINNER
Pop’s For Italian in Ferndale and boutique winemaker David Phinney are hosting a special five-course wine dinner featuring Orin Swift, Locations and the Prisoner Wine Co. 3/12 BILLIE EILISH AT LITTLE CAESARS ARENA
Billie Eilish is only 20, but she’s already a pop icon: She won seven Grammy Awards last year and is nominated for seven more this year, including Album of the Year for her 2021 LP, Happier Than Ever. That’s also the name of her new world tour, which kicked off last month and will bring its chart-topping tunes to Detroit. ticketmaster.com
3/13 CORK TOWN RACES – CORKTOWN
Before the big parade in Corktown, thousands of runners hit the streets for the St. Patrick’s Parade Corktown Races. Races include the Kids Quarter Mile, Emerald Mile, and the Corktown 5KM. The St. Patrick’s Parade follows the races. Tickets at corktownrace.com.
3/13 DETROIT ST. PATRICKS DAY PARADE
Typically drawing 80,000 to 100,000 spectators, Detroit’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest of its kind in the country, and this year’s celebration — the first since 2019 — is no exception. Expect marching bands, floats, color-guard units, clowns, and more. Detroitstpatricksparade.com
3/15 – 3/20 WAITRESS
The hit musical is coming to Detroit from March 15-20. 3/18 14th ANNUAL MOTOR CITY BLUES FESTIVAL AT THE FOX
